To me, there is a big difference on the canal between night and late night. Big difference from earlier than 10:00 pm and later than midnight. I agree with the earlier poster, Cultural Trail is way better. More people, bars, restaurants, etc. Taking the Red Line bus is easy. I live at the Children’s Museum stop.
